Alder Body and Maple Neck Provide Balanced Tone

The Fallout's combination of an alder body and hard rock maple neck gives this short-scale bass a balanced tonal foundation. Alder has long been prized by guitar and bass builders for its clear note articulation and lively resonance. The Fallout's slim, contoured alder body contributes to the instrument's comfort and ergonomic design. The bolt-on maple neck offers crisp clarity in the high midrange along with excellent note sustain and tuning stability. Together, these tonewoods yield a versatile voice that handles clean fingerstyle lines and aggressive picked parts with aplomb. The Fallout's slim profile, smooth satin finish and contouring enable you to play for hours on end without fatigue.

Fluid Playability With a 30-Inch Scale

The most immediately apparent benefit of the Fullerton Deluxe Fallout is its diminutive 30" scale length. Compared to the standard 34" found on full-size basses, the Fallout's short scale significantly reduces string tension, making it more comfortable to fret notes and facilitating complex walking lines. The Fallout's slim neck profile adds to this fluid playability, allowing your fingers to easily navigate up and down the maple fingerboard. Whether you're a smaller bassist who has trouble stretching on a full-size instrument or a guitarist branching out into bass territory, the easy-playing Fallout is an excellent gateway into the low-end world.

Versatile Magnetic Field Humbucker Pickup

The Fallout bass harnesses G&L's acclaimed Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickup to reproduce your playing with exceptional clarity across a range of tonal colors. Engaging the 3-position mini-toggle switch provides instant access to parallel, split or wide open pickup modes, allowing you to dial in everything from punchy modern snap to warm, round vintage tones. In parallel mode, the beefy humbucker configuration offers tons of low-end thump perfect for rock and metal styles. Flipping to the split setting utilizes just one coil for a brighter, more focused sound recalling classic Motown and reggae bass lines. The wide open mode bypasses the tone circuit entirely for G&L's raw, unfiltered tone.

Quality Components Let The Bass Shine

The Fullerton Fallout doesn't cut corners when it comes to components. It has a stable G&L Saddle Lock fixed bridge for rock-solid intonation and sustain. G&L's own Ultra-Lite tuners provide precise tuning while keeping weight down. The sleek contoured alder body offers balanced resonance and sustain.
