Squier's Classic Vibe Bass VI bass guitar brings producers and adventurous bass players a vintage-inspired instrument primed to explore new creative ground. This throwback model is a faithful tribute to Fender's iconic baritone bass first introduced in 1961. Tuned an octave lower than a guitar, the Bass VI delivers a rich tone suited for everything from surf rock to shoegaze. Its slim, fast maple neck and 9.5" radius Indian laurel fingerboard provide a familiar feel for guitarists, while three Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups unleash a range of sounds with the flip of a switch. Anchored by a vintage-style bridge and floating vibrato tailpiece, this bass covers basslines and lead parts with equal aplomb. Slick nickel-plated hardware and a vintage-tinted neck finish complete the retro vibe of this secret weapon.

Three Pickups, Endless Tonal Possibilities

The Bass VI's trio of Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups can be used individually or in combination to craft your perfect tone. Activate the neck pickup alone for a warm, rounded bass tone. Engage the bridge pickup for a brighter, more articulate attack. Blend the middle pickup into the mix to add clarity and cut. A two-position "strangle" switch cuts bass frequencies for a more guitar-like tone when desired.

Vibrato Tailpiece Adds Expressiveness

A vintage-style vibrato tailpiece gives players control over subtle pitch variations. Add a shimmering quality to sustained notes or a warbling effect reminiscent of a tape machine. The vibrato works in tandem with the Bass VI's floating bridge to provide a smooth, responsive playing feel.

Comfortably Navigates Multiple Musical Roles

The Bass VI transitions seamlessly between rhythm and lead. Its shorter 30" scale length and lighter bass strings make fretting and bending notes easier for guitarists and bassists alike. Chords ring out clearly with piano-like richness. Melodic lines can explore the upper reaches of the fingerboard without a struggle. Whether riffing, strumming full chords or improvising solos, this adaptable instrument inspires new creativity at every turn.
