Modern Contoured Body Provides Comfort and Style

The contoured body of the StingRay 5 is designed for comfort during long performances while providing the iconic Music Man silhouette. The contoured cutaways allow easy access to the highest frets while the slim, lightweight body rests comfortably against your body. The sculpted design adds style and ensures you can play your best without fatigue. The RAY35 lets you play your heart out in comfort and style.

Roasted Maple Neck Offers Smooth Playability

The RAY35 features a roasted maple neck for smooth, fast playability. The roasting process enhances stability in the wood, resulting in a maple neck that resists warping and provides consistent action over time. Combined with a satin finish, the roasted maple neck offers a natural, smooth feel that facilitates intricate fretting and fast runs. The RAY35's roasted maple neck gives you the playability you need to play your most technical bass lines with ease.

Iconic StingRay Bridge for Dynamic Tone

The RAY35 includes the iconic Music Man StingRay bridge for broad tonal control. The bridge's design allows you to accentuate certain overtones, facilitating dynamic tone shaping. You can emphasize the fundamental notes for a smooth, rounded tone or bring out the overtones for a brighter, punchier sound. Like Music Man basses before it, the RAY35 gives you that versatile StingRay tone to craft your signature sound.

Versatile 3-Band Active Preamp to Shape Your Sound

The RAY35's 3-band active preamp provides extensive tonal control to shape your ideal bass tone. The treble, midrange and bass EQ bands allow you to boost or cut frequencies with a wide sweep, while the midrange control features a frequency selector switch. An active/passive switch lets you bypass the preamp for a natural acoustic tone. With the RAY35's adaptable preamp, you can hone and customize your bass tone for any musical situation.
