The secret behind the Overlord's bone-crushing metal tone is its set of EMG active pickups. The EMG 81 in the bridge pumps out hot output and endless sustain, perfect for aggressive rhythm chops and screaming leads. The EMG 85 in the neck delivers a smooth midrange tone when you need some melody between fierce riffing. Each pickup has its own volume control so you can easily blend their outputs. Flip the 3-way toggle to access either pickup soloed or both together. An active PA-2 booster kickstarts the 81 for even more tightness and punch. The 25k potentiometers retain clarity when rolling back volume.

The Overlord's ebony fingerboard makes it effortlessly fast. Its compound radius starts out flatter at the nut, then curves toward the body. Combined with its thin C-shaped neck, this provides comfort and stability during intricate solos. Jumbo nickel frets give you more metal to grab onto when bending and vibrating notes. Even during serious whammy bar abuse, the Kahler Hybrid bridge keeps the Overlord rock solid. This Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo system has outstanding tuning stability under duress. It counteracts string tension via springs in the back cavity rather than at the nut. You get fluttery dive bombs without knocking the guitar out of tune. The bridge locks down for maximum sustain when desired. Use the fine tuners to tweak string tension right at the bridge.
