Artisan series snare drums are designed to perform at the highest level by combining the finest materials and craftsmanship Dixon has to offer. Each shell configuration and feature reflects their commitment to quality and the advancement of the art of drumming manifested in the Blue Titanium Steel snare drum.
Dixon's steel snare drums are versatile snares with a sweet spot in the high to mid tuning register, capable of higher tunings, greater volume and increased dynamics. Die cast hoops increase tuning accuracy, enhance articulation, and augment rim shots and cross sticking. Artisan snares feature an adjustable butt plate allowing real-time tension adjustment of the snare wires from either side of the drum, a sound technique used in the studios of Los Angeles by legendary drummer Gregg Bissonette.
Dixon titanium-plated snare drums are among the most stunning and sought-after models in their lineup. Each rolled steel shell is plated in titanium, then heated to a blue-specific temperature for a colored mirror effect compatible with its high luster chrome parts that no one can resist.
