The DW Performance Series 4-piece shell pack provides you with a premium set of drums for both recording and performing. Handcrafted from 100% North American maple in DW's California Custom Shop, these shells produce a balanced tone that works for any genre. They feature DW's SSC grain configuration for controlled overtones and a focused sound. With its classic sizes of 8x10 and 9x12 rack toms, a 16x14 floor tom and a punchy 18x22 kick drum, this configuration gives you a versatile setup to shape your unique sound.

Resonant, All-Maple Shells

The Performance Series shells are constructed from eight plies of hand-selected North American hard rock maple. This dense, durable wood provides a warm and balanced tone with rich overtones. The 45-degree bearing edges allow the heads to sit flush with the shells, enhancing resonance and tuning stability. These characteristics give the Performance Series a classic DW sound with controlled overtones and clearly defined pitches.

Roadworthy Hardware

The Performance Series features hardware designed for touring drummers. The suspended tom mounts securely hold the rack toms while allowing them to resonate freely. Low-mass claw hooks attach the batter heads, providing even tensioning and tuning. And the bass drum claws are mounted to matching maple hoops, highlighting DW's attention to aesthetic details. With TruePitch tension rods and graduated counterhoops, you have hardware that will keep these drums tuned and ready for your next show.

A Finish for Any Taste

While the Performance Series prioritizes tone, it also provides attractive finishes to suit your style. Available in a selection of wrap finishes, satin and gloss lacquers and DW's durable FinishPly, you can choose a classic or modern look. Whatever finish you prefer, DW's hand-applied processes ensure an attractive and consistent result.
