The DW Design Series Black Nickel Over Brass Snare Drum, a 14"x6.5" snare that delivers a harmonious blend of power and nuance. At its core is a 1mm, bead-reinforced all-brass shell plated in sleek black nickel, producing aggressive attack with musical overtones that cut through any mix.

MAG Throw-Off Provides Lightning-Fast Adjustments

The MAG throw-off allows for quick, precise adjustments of snare tension with the flick of a lever. Toggle between a tight, focused crack for intricate rhythms or a loose, buzzy rattle for fat backbeats in an instant. With MAG, you'll never miss a beat.

True-Pitch Tuning Keeps You On Pitch

DW's acclaimed True-Pitch tuning system features threaded tension rods that hold tension and prevent detuning over time. Once you've dialed in the perfect pitch, True-Pitch helps it stay there through even the hardest-hitting performances. Consistent, reliable tuning means you can focus on your playing.

DW Reverse Dot Batter Head Delivers Instant Playability

A DW Reverse Dot batter head by Remo comes pre-installed so your Design Series snare is gig-ready right out of the box. The coated single-ply head provides an ideal balance of articulation and warmth and the offset dot focuses the snare response for punchy, articulate rimshots and cross-sticking.

Striking Style Meets Studio-Quality Construction

At 6.5" deep and 14" in diameter, the Design Series snare produces a versatile, full tone that suits any genre. And with pro-level features including a brass shell, MAG throw-off and True-Pitch tuning, its studio-quality construction ensures this striking snare will hold up to years of heavy use.
