The Mapex Comet 5-piece drum kit presents an ideal starter drum set for aspiring musicians looking to begin their drumming journey. With a full 5-piece kit, including an 18" bass drum, you'll have a versatile setup to practice essential drumming techniques and start crafting your own rhythms.
Premium Components for Balanced Tone
The Comet is outfitted with Mapex's SONIClear bearing edges, which allow the drum heads to resonate freely for a balanced tone across the kit. The bass drum delivers a solid low end while the 14" snare cuts through with a crisp crack. With quality drum heads and proper tuning, you'll achieve the sound you want.
Complete Hardware for Secure Setup
The Comet comes with all necessary hardware so you can start playing right out of the box. Three sturdy floor tom legs provide a stable base for your bass drum. Cymbal and tom holders keep everything in place during energetic playing. A hi-hat stand, snare stand and kick pedal complete the standard 5-piece configuration. With a padded throne, you'll be able to sit comfortably for hours of practice. The road-worthy hardware is built to last through your development as a drummer.
Diverse Percussion Sounds
Expand your rhythmic palette with the Comet's 14" hi-hats and 16" crash/ride cymbal. The hi-hats provide a steady beat to keep time, while the crash/ride creates accents and fills. With a full cymbal set, you can craft more complex and nuanced drum parts. The cymbals offer tonal colors to shape your overall percussion sound.
Essentials for Comfortable Play
Mapex includes drum sticks and a padded throne with the Comet so you have everything needed to start practicing in comfort. The ergonomic throne allows you to sit properly, reducing strain over long playing periods. And with a pair of quality 5A drum sticks in hand, you can begin honing your technique right out of the box.
The Mapex Comet gives you a complete, high-quality drum set to start your musical journey. With essential components for balanced tone, diverse sounds, a secure setup and comfortable play, the Comet lets you focus on developing your skills as a drummer.
