The TAMA S.L.P. G-Maple snare drum delivers a crisp tone with rich resonance that cuts through any instrument mix. This professional snare drum features a 1-millimeter, 10-ply North American maple shell for a bright tone with exceptional projection. The 45-degree bearing edge provides an articulate snare response that drummers love. The snare wires are TAMA's original Sound Arc snare wires, which have an innovative curved design to evenly capture the entire snare head for a wide dynamic range and clear tone at any volume.
Die-Cast Hoops Offer Solid Sound
The die-cast hoops provide a solid foundation for the snare drum heads, enabling consistent tone and snare response. The hoops add mass to the drum to produce a focused tone with long sustain and minimal ringing. The triple-flanged counter hoops also make tuning quick and simple, keeping the drum in tune through intense battering.
Durable Construction for Reliable Performance
The Tama S.L.P. G-Maple snare drum is built to handle the demands of daily use by professionals. The maple shell and die-cast hoops are resistant to warping and denting. All hardware, including the snare strainer, butt plate and tuning lugs, are made of solid steel for lasting quality. Rubber gaskets give the lugs a firm seal and prevent unwanted rattling.
Versatile Tone for Any Genre
With its focused yet resonant tone, the TAMA S.L.P. G-Maple snare drum works for any musical style. The maple shell provides a full-bodied warmth for jazz, R&B and rock. The crisp snare response also cuts through amplified music, making this drum ideal for pop, hip hop, metal and other genres. Change the snare wires or add muffling to further shape the tone to your needs. This professional snare drum delivers versatility and quality for drummers of all types.
