The DW Collector's Series 333 satin oil maple snare drum redefines versatility with its innovative Zikit System, allowing drummers to alter the snare's tone dynamically. Crafted from a 9-ply 333 maple shell, this snare starts as a fat and warm 14" drum but transforms at the flick of a lever. The internal mechanism features adjustable 10" and 12" rings, which increase head tension and produce a sharper, more cutting sound. This game-changing design makes it ideal as a primary snare with a range of tonal options or as an incredibly versatile side snare for dynamic performances.

Adjustable Tone at Your Fingertips

DW's patented Zikit internal system provides an entirely new way to control snare tones on the fly. By engaging the 10" or 12" rings, drummers can shift from a deep and punchy 14" tone to the brighter attack of smaller snare sizes. This feature is perfect for live performances, studio sessions, or experimental drumming, allowing for instant transitions between different sounds. Whether you need a fat, warm backbeat or a sharp, high-energy crack, this snare delivers unmatched flexibility, making it a must-have for modern drummers.

Precision Engineering With Cutting-Edge Hardware

DW is known for its high-performance drum hardware, and this snare is no exception. The MAG throw-off system ensures effortless snare wire engagement, using a magnetic mechanism for smooth, reliable operation. The 5P butt plate offers five levels of snare wire tension adjustment, giving drummers precise control over response and sensitivity. These features make tuning and adjusting the snare incredibly intuitive, providing unparalleled consistency in any musical setting.

Enhanced Playability and Durability

Designed for maximum performance, this snare features True Hoops, which provide a fully rounded top edge for superior rim shot response while also extending the lifespan of drum sticks. These hoops enhance tuning stability and deliver thick, resonant rim shots without excessive wear. Additionally, the snare is topped with DW drum heads by Remo, ensuring a premium playing experience straight out of the box. This combination of high-quality materials and advanced engineering guarantees a snare drum that will withstand the demands of professional drumming while maintaining exceptional sound quality.
