The LP Pedrito Martinez Signature Top Tuning Deep Cut Mango Conga 12.5" offers musicians a high quality percussion instrument endorsed by Grammy nominated artist, Pedrito Martinez. LP has partnered with Pedrito Martinez to develop a signature line of congas tailored to his professional standards. This 12.5" conga features a handpicked rawhide head and a stunning deep cut mango shell with a stained mocha finish, delivering a rich, resonant tone with visual appeal.
Handpicked Rawhide Head Provides a Natural, Nuanced Sound
The rawhide head on this conga is carefully handpicked to provide a warm, responsive tone with subtle nuances. The natural material helps produce complex overtones not found on synthetic drumheads, allowing musicians to achieve a wider range of sounds with control and finesse. The handpicked rawhide head, combined with the all-natural mango shell, gives this conga an acoustic, traditional quality appreciated by discerning percussionists.
Top-Tuning Comfort Curve II Rims Enable Precise Tuning
LP's patented Top-Tuning Comfort Curve II rims make tuning quick and easy. The rims' curved shape provides optimum playability and comfort as well as more open ample surface area. Percussionists can swiftly tighten or loosen each of the chrome-plated 5/16" tension rods with the Top-Tuning mechanisms. This design enables percussionists to achieve precise, balanced tuning for optimal sound. The rims also feature LP ProCare shell protectors to prevent damage to the mango shell during adjustments.
Reinforced Construction Withstands Rigorous Playing
This signature model conga is built to meet the demands of professional musicians. It features reinforced LP Heart side plates for added durability and chrome plated hardware for corrosion resistance. The mango shell itself is a dense, durable wood chosen for its ability to produce a rich tone. All of these premium components combine to create an instrument that can withstand energetic, passionate playing on stage and in the studio.
A Conga for Dedicated Musicians, By a Dedicated Musician
Pedrito Martinez worked closely with LP to design a conga that meets his standards as a percussionist. The result is an instrument crafted with care for musicians pursuing excellence and artistry in their playing.
