Meinl's Classics Custom Dark Expanded Cymbal Set delivers a bold, complex voice and vintage-inspired style for drummers seeking a signature sound. This comprehensive set includes 14" hi-hats, 20" ride, 16" and 18" crashes, 18" China and 16" trash crash, plus a FREE 10" splash and 12" trash splash. Each cymbal undergoes a special finishing process resulting in rich, dark tones with a crisp attack and full-bodied sustain.
Dark, Distinctive Appearance
The Classics Custom Dark cymbals feature a stunning dark patina unlike anything else. Their deep, molten bronze surfaces are the result of Meinl's innovative finishing techniques, which alter the tone and appearance of the metal. The dark, antique-style finish gives drummers a classic yet cutting-edge look that is sure to stand out on any stage.
Comprehensive Range Covers All Musical Styles
With two crashes, a ride, hi-hats, china and splash cymbals included, the Classics Custom Dark set delivers options for drummers of all genres. The 20" ride provides a balanced, articulate ping with a subtle wash of overtones. The 16" and 18" crashes offer a mix of full, warm tones and crisp attack. The 14" hi-hats cut through with a clean "chick" sound. Rounding out the set, the 18" china opens up a world of exotic, trashy sounds while the 10" splash and 12" trash splash provide short, punchy accents.
FREE Splash Cymbals Add Versatility
Meinl goes above and beyond by including a 10" splash and 12" trash splash at no extra cost. These free additions increase the musical versatility of the set, enabling drummers to incorporate intricate rhythmic layers and sudden accents into their playing. The 10" splash delivers a short, shimmering "splat" while the 12" trash splash opens up grittier, sloshier sounds perfect for building intensity.
