The Harmony Handpan D Kurd Stainless Steel is a fascinating handcrafted instrument that combines rhythm, expression and melody. The handpan is constructed from durable stainless steel bowed plates intricately hammered to produce nine precisely tuned notes across its ergonomic surface. Handpans are designed for anyone to play, offering a soothing musical experience through simple exploration or complex composition.
Hand-hammered Steel Plates Produce Precisely Tuned Notes
At the heart of the Harmony Handpan are two stainless steel plates hand-hammered into spherical shapes that fit together to form an acoustic chamber. Master craftsmen meticulously hammer each plate to establish a central root note surrounded by eight relative pitches, creating a nine-note scale. The result is an instrument with notes that sing with resonant tones when struck with the hands.
Ergonomic Contour Offers Hours of Comfortable Play
The Harmony Handpan features an ergonomic contour that fits comfortably in the hands, allowing for extended play without fatigue. Its spherical shape produces notes around the entire circumference so melodies and rhythms can be explored by simply moving the hands around the instrument. Weighing only 1lb., the Harmony Handpan is lightweight enough to play anywhere.
Premium Materials Ensure Lifetimes of Use
Constructed from durable stainless steel, the Harmony Handpan is built to last a lifetime. Stainless steel offers excellent acoustic properties while resisting weathering and corrosion. With proper care and handling, this handpan will provide many years of soulful musical expression. An included carrying bag protects the handpan during transport and storage.
Explore Rhythm and Melody Through Simple Curiosity
The Harmony Handpan is an accessible instrument designed for anyone to play. While professional musicians may compose complex pieces, beginners can produce beautiful music through simple exploration of the notes and rhythms. Moving the hands around the handpan or varying the force and location of strikes can lead to melodic discoveries and soothing percussive grooves. The handpan experience is a creative journey open to all.
