Quality Wood and Components That Deliver
The Tour Custom Maple 4-piece shell pack includes 10” and 12” mounted toms, 16” floor tom, and 22” kick drum. These six-ply, all-maple shells are a thin 5.6 mm and have bearing edges of 45°, keeping the drums tones bright and full of attack. Yamaha’s exclusive diagonally placed seam construct maintains the rounded shape of the drums, for longevity and durability. The 22” bass drum presents a warm but pointed attack that truly speaks on stage or in the studio. The Tour Custom is outfitted with Remo UT drum heads, providing a studio-quality tone, right out of the box.
Classic Features on a Modern Kit
The Tour Custom Maple features classic staples from Yamaha’s award-winning Absolute series—single-post lugs and YESS tom mounts, increasing depth and tuning range. Single-post lugs enhance sustain but also give Yamaha drums a distinct look that set their drums apart from the rest. Rounded, 2.3 mm Dyna-Hoops sharpen tone and balance tuning, delivering enhanced recording-grade tones, all while protecting drum sticks.
