The Gold Tone PBR-D Mastertone Paul Beard Signature Series Roundneck Deluxe resonator guitar is a finely crafted instrument that caters to the discerning resonator guitarist. This vintage-inspired guitar is meticulously designed by Paul Beard, featuring premium tonewoods that deliver superb sound quality. The body of the PBR-D is made from striking curly maple, paired with a hard rock maple neck, both finished in a rich tobacco sunburst that accentuates the natural beauty of the wood. The ebony fingerboard is elegantly inlaid with hearts and flowers, a nod to classic resonators, adding a touch of historical charm to this modern masterpiece. This guitar combines aesthetic grace with musical functionality, making it a standout choice for serious musicians.
Open Soundwell Delivers Distinctive Resonator Tone
The PBR-D is equipped with Paul Beard's signature "open" soundwell, resonator cone and spider bridge, which work together to produce the sweet blend of wood and metal resonator tone ideal for blues, country and fingerstyle playing. The open construction allows the tonewoods to resonate freely, resulting in a wooden warmth balanced with metallic shimmer.
Premium Materials for Superior Playability
From the curly maple body and hard rock maple neck to the ebony fingerboard, the PBR-D is crafted from tonewoods selected for their beauty and resonance. The slim, comfortable neck profile and smooth ebony fingerboard allow for seamless playability. 19 medium frets provide ample space for complex chording and single-note runs.
A Piece of Resonator History
Designed by Paul Beard, a pioneer in resonator guitar design, the PBR-D allows you to experience a bit of resonator history. The distinctive "Paul Beard" soundwell, cone and bridge replicate the construction methods that helped define the resonator guitar sound.
