7-Ply Poplar Shells for Warm, Balanced Tone

The Gretsch Energy series features 7-ply poplar drum shells known for producing a warm and balanced tone. The thin 7-ply construction provides enough mass for sustain and projection, while allowing the drums to resonate freely. The result is a tone that blends low-end punch, midrange focus and high-end clarity.

Versatile Sizes for Any Musical Style

With a kick drum, two rack toms, a floor tom and snare drum, this 5-piece Gretsch Energy shell pack provides a versatile range of tones for playing any genre of music. The 22" kick drum provides a solid low-end foundation. The 10" and 12" rack toms cut through with a focused midrange attack. The 16" floor tom bridges the gap with a warmer, richer tone. And the 14" snare drum is crisp and articulate. Together this combination of drums covers the entire tonal spectrum.

30-Degree Bearing Edges for Precise Articulation

Gretsch outfits the Energy series shells with 30-degree bearing edges. The sharp edge helps focus the vibration of the drum head for maximum resonance and sustain. The articulated tone provides sensitivity and dynamic control, allowing drummers to execute intricate rhythmic figures and ghost notes with ease. The 30-degree edge is a hallmark of Gretsch's renowned tone and playability.

Roadworthy Hardware for Gigging and Practice

While the Gretsch Energy shell pack provides professional tone and performance, it is also designed to handle the rigors of touring and practice. The included tom holder mounts securely to the bass drum, keeping your toms stable during aggressive playing. The 1.6 mm triple-flanged steel hoops can withstand heavy-handed rimshots and cross-sticking night after night. And the available durable wrap finishes protect the shell pack from dings, dents, and scratches encountered on the road. The Gretsch Energy series is built to go the distance.
