The Gretsch C2 snare drum offers a modern take on the classic alloy snare. At its core is a 2 mm polished copper shell that delivers a meaty low end, tight and focused midrange, and higher frequencies that balance copper's naturally darker tone.
2 mm Polished Copper Shell Provides a Distinctive Tone
The Gretsch C2 snare drum's 2 mm polished copper shell gives it a tone like no other. Copper produces a vibrant, resonant sound with rich lows, focused mids and balanced highs. Its thinner 2 mm depth further enhances resonance and sensitivity. The copper shell's distinctive tone cuts through any mix, allowing your backbeat to shine through.
Premium Die-Cast Hoops and Lightning Throw-off for Adjustability and Durability
The Gretsch C2 snare drum features premium 4 mm die-cast hoops and a Lightning throw-off for maximum durability and adjustability. The die-cast hoops provide rigid rimshots and consistent tuning, while the Lightning throw-off allows for quick head changes so you can explore different sounds. A "Snap-In" key holder gives you quick access to your drum key for on-the-fly tuning adjustments.
