The Alvarez Yairi CYM75ce Masterworks cutaway classical acoustic-electric guitar provides serious musicians a handcrafted instrument with a robust, balanced tone. Built in the Yairi guitar factory in Japan, where luthiers have honed their skills over 80 years, this nylon-string guitar features an FST6 bracing system and premium tonewoods for resonance and clarity.
Premium Tonewoods Produce a Warm, Nuanced Sound
With a solid AAA-grade western red cedar top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the CYM75ce delivers a warm yet balanced tone with shimmering highs and a focused bass. The lightweight cedar top provides an open, airy quality while the rosewood enhances note separation and articulation. Together, these tonewoods give you a nuanced, expressive voice.
New FST6 Bracing Opens Up the Sound
Alvarez Yairi's new FST6 bracing system, an evolution of their FST2 design, uses lighter braces to produce greater vibration and a wider tonal range. The innovative FST6 bracing in the CYM75ce creates an expanded sonic palette with more headroom, clarity and sustain. You'll appreciate how the CYM75ce responds effortlessly to your touch, allowing you to shape tones with subtlety and nuance.
Play Comfortably with a Handcrafted Neck and Ebony Fingerboard
The CYM75ce's mahogany neck features an oval C profile that feels instantly familiar in your hands. The smooth ebony fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface for complex chords and melodic lines. A 2 1/16" nut width at the 1st fret gives you ample room for fingerstyle technique. Overall, the neck's design focuses on playability so you can concentrate on making music.
Plug In and Play with the LR Baggs Element Pickup
For live performance, the CYM75ce features an LR Baggs Element active pickup system with volume and tone controls. The Element pickup accurately captures the guitar's acoustic properties and natural tone. When plugged in, you'll enjoy the same nuanced sound as playing unplugged. The CYM75ce gives you the best of both worlds: a handcrafted classical guitar for intimate practice sessions that also shines on stage.
