The Cordoba C5 nylon-string classical guitar is a full-size handmade instrument using time-honored Spanish techniques. At its heart is a solid Canadian cedar top that produces a balanced, resonant tone ideal for nylon strings. Its mahogany back and sides further enhance the C5's tonal depth and projection. A pau ferro fretboard and bridge provide a smooth playing surface for intricate fingering and clear note definition. Traditional details like an all-wood inlaid rosette, pau ferro binding and a hand-carved headstock reflect Iberia's dedication to craft. With its warm, rich voice and comfortable playability, the C5 is a guitar you'll cherish for years to come.

Solid Cedar Top Unlocks a Warm, Nuanced Voice

The Cordoba C5 owes its balanced, resonant tone to a solid top made of Canadian cedar, a lightweight wood prized for instrument soundboards. Cedar responds well to the nylon strings and light touch of classical technique, producing notes with a warm, rounded quality and long sustain. Its broad dynamic range allows for subtle variations in attack and expression. Whether played delicately or vigorously, the C5 sings with a voice as warm as its all-wood craftsmanship.

Handcrafted Mahogany Body Resonates With Depth and Clarity

The C5's mahogany back and sides provide an ideal tonal complement to its cedar top. Mahogany produces a resonant, balanced tone with clear note definition and a tight low end. Together, the cedar top and mahogany body create an instrument with depth, warmth and nuance that suits the nylon-string classical repertoire well. The all-wood construction and traditional fan bracing system further enhance the C5's tonal projection and harmonic richness.

Playability Refined for Artistry

A rosewood fretboard and bridge provide a smooth playing surface for intricate fingering and clear note definition. The C5's nut width and string spacing are sized for classical technique, allowing space for complex chords and rapid scale work. Whether performing tremolo passages or voicing lush harmonies, the C5 handles with ease. Its comfortable body and fretboard radius inspire long practice sessions developing artistry and technique.
