Whether you want to evoke exotic island ambiance or forge your own signature sound, the LS-8 empowers your musical imagination.
Authentic 1950s Style
With its mahogany body, maple neck and two-tone sunburst finish, the LS-8 looks like it came straight out of the 1950s. Gold Tone meticulously recreated the style of coveted vintage lap steels so you can enjoy their iconic appearance. The hollow body produces warm, balanced tone that suits the LS-8's retro vibe. A rosewood fingerboard offers comfortable playability, while chrome hardware and knobs complete the vintage-inspired design.
Resonant Tone for Traditional and Experimental Styles
The LS-8's solid mahogany body resonates freely, generating the warm, sustain-rich tone that lap steel players prize. Its soapbar pickup captures nuanced string vibrations, letting you shape tone with the guitar's controls. F6 tuning provides classic Hawaiian voicings, but you can experiment with different tunings and playing styles. The resonant voice of the LS-8 takes well to effects pedals if you want to craft more experimental sounds. However versatile your musical vision, this lap steel provides an inspiring tonal palette. The extended 25" scale length and 8-strings make the LS-8 a truly unique lap steel guitar.
Premium Design and Components
As a premium lap steel, the LS-8 features high-quality components for tone and longevity. Its chrome hardware, including the classic F-shaped tailpiece, provides stable tuning and solid construction. The soapbar pickup is voiced for balanced lap steel tone with clarity and warmth.
