The Jackson Pro Series Spectra Bass SBP IV is a finely crafted bass guitar designed with the professional musician in mind. Blending cutting-edge features with exceptional playability, the Spectra Bass delivers versatile tone and smooth performance ideal for the stage and studio.
With a Multi-Laminate Body Balancing Weight and Sustain
The Spectra Bass has an innovative multi-laminate poplar burl, walnut, maple and mahogany body providing perfect balance and comfort. Its offset body shape features an extended upper horn to distribute weight evenly across the bass. The multi-laminate construction also enhances stability and resonance for rich, singing sustain.
With a Compound Radius Fingerboard for Smooth Playability
Optimized for speed and comfort, the caramelized jatoba fingerboard has a 12"-16" compound radius and slim profile. The flatter radius near the nut facilitates intricate chording while the more rounded radius by the body allows easy bending. Combined with its jumbo frets and smooth satin finish, the Spectra Bass offers exceptionally fast and fluid playing.
With Nordstrand SB4 Pickups Providing a Bold, Bright Tone
Equipped with a set of Nordstrand SB4 single-coil soapbar pickups, the Spectra Bass pumps out a strikingly bold sound with enhanced clarity and punch. The bridge and neck pickups have focused midrange and crisp highs, giving you an aggressive attack perfect for aggressive styles. Their focused voice cuts through the mix while retaining warmth and body.
With an Active 3-Band EQ for Pinpoint Tonal Control
An active 3-band EQ lets you hone in on the perfect tone with dedicated bass, midrange and treble controls. A 3-way mid frequency switch targets a specific midrange frequency for even more precise shaping. Engage the EQ for more aggressive sound sculpting or bypass it for a natural passive tone from the Nordstrand pickups.
Enhance Sustain and Attack With a Hardtail Bridge
The Jackson hardtail bridge improves individual note clarity and enhances sustain. Paired with the graphite-reinforced maple/walnut neck, you'll get rock-solid stability and impressive note decay.
