The Holes ribbon microphone from Ohma World combines timeless ribbon mic character with innovative modularity to deliver a truly unique recording experience. Its hand-crafted aluminum body and extended frequency response capture every nuance of your performance. With swappable screens that act as acoustical filters, you can shape the Holes ribbon's tone to match your instrument or voice.
A Ribbon Heart With Modern Flexibility
At the core of the Holes ribbon is a hand-tuned ribbon element that produces the warm, natural tone ribbon mics are known for. Ohma World meticulously tunes each ribbon at their Los Angeles workshop to ensure stunning consistency and accuracy. Active circuitry and a custom transformer provide higher output, enabling you to use the Holes ribbon anywhere. Whether recording vocals, acoustic guitar or drums, this versatile mic meets all your needs.
Find Your Sound With Interchangeable Screens
Ohma World microphones are modular, allowing you to swap the Holes ribbon's screens to change its appearance and sound. Each screen acts as an acoustical filter, altering the mic's frequency response for a distinct tone. The included Holes screen provides an even, balanced response that excels on any instrument or voice. You can purchase additional screen sets for more tonal options. Changing screens is as easy as using the included guitar pick to remove the current screen and magnetically attach your new choice.
Premium Design and Components
Like all Ohma World mics, the Holes Ribbon is hand-crafted in California using the finest materials. Its aluminum body and stainless-steel grille are durable yet lightweight. A ceramic coating protects the exterior while still allowing the ribbon element to breathe. A custom German transformer and phantom-powered circuitry deliver rich, detailed sound with higher output for compatibility with any setup.
