The Stripes ribbon microphone from Ohma World combines vintage character with modern versatility. This handcrafted mic is designed for musicians and engineers looking to capture full-bodied tones from a variety of sources. With its durable yet lightweight build and swappable screens, the Stripes ribbon mic can handle the intensity of guitar amps and drums as easily as the subtle details of string sections and vocals.
Premium Ribbon Heart
At the core of the Stripes ribbon's warm, balanced sound is a meticulously hand-tuned ribbon, the same found in the legendary RCA 44. Ohma World carefully tunes each ribbon at their Los Angeles shop to ensure rich, vibrant recordings across all their mics. This handcrafted element, combined with phantom-powered circuitry and a custom German transformer, gives the Stripes ribbon outstanding sensitivity, high output and compatibility with any studio or live setup.
Modular Design, Endless Possibilities
The Stripes ribbon's modular design allows you to shape its tone and appearance to suit any application. Included with the mic are magnetic Stripes screens that attach instantly, providing a focused midrange character ideal for guitars, drums and percussion. However, you can swap the Stripes screens for any of Ohma World's other screen sets to dramatically alter the mic's sound. Whether you want a classic ribbon mic tone or something more modern, the Stripes ribbon grows with your needs.
Built to Last
Despite its premium sound, the Stripes ribbon is also rugged enough for everyday use. An aluminum and stainless steel body protects the ribbon element while keeping the mic lightweight and a ceramic coating adds further durability. When you invest in an Ohma World mic, you're investing in a tool designed to inspire great recordings for years to come.
