The Pearl Sensitone Limited-Edition 14x6.5" black nickel brass snare drum gives drummers a modern take on a classic instrument. Featuring a 1 mm beaded brass shell plated in black nickel for warmth and sensitivity, this snare produces a resonant tone perfect for any musical environment.
Black Nickel-Plated Shell Provides Warmth and Nuance
The 1 mm beaded brass shell on the Sensitone Limited Edition is plated in black nickel, giving it a stunning aesthetic and resonant tone. The black nickel plating adds warmth and nuance to the brass shell's crisp overtones. This combination provides a tone that is versatile and balanced, suited for any genre or playing style.
Gold-Plated Hardware Provides Power and Visual Contrast
The gold-plated 2.3 mm SuperHoop II triple-flanged hoops deliver powerful rimshots without choking the resonant shell. The chrome-over-brass tube lugs also feature gold-plated mounting posts, which provide visual contrast and make tuning smooth and stable. This blend of gold and chrome hardware gives the Sensitone Limited a luxurious yet vintage look while also enhancing its acoustic properties.
Responsive Strainer and Snare Wires Offer Customized Tonal Control
The SR017 strainer and UltraSound 20-strand snare wires on the Sensitone Limited give you unparalleled control over the drum's tone and sensitivity. The snare wires can be engaged or disengaged quickly and quietly using the SR017 strainer for on-the-fly changes during a performance. With a simple turn of the strainer lever, you can open or close the snares to produce different tones ranging from tight and articulate to loose and boomy.
