The Spectra 1964 STX 100D brings the revered sound of the original Spectra Sonics console to the compact 500 series format, preserving every nuance of the classic 101 amplifier circuit while fitting within a single-space lunchbox module. Featuring an all-discrete topology with dual 101 amplifier modules and high-quality, U.S.-made transformers, the STX 100D maintains the distinctive sonic character that made Spectra Sonics consoles legendary from 1964 to 1971. By reducing the physical size of the 101 amplifier modules by over 75% without sacrificing performance, Spectra 1964 has crafted a preamp that mirrors the classic sound of early Spectra consoles, free from the typical performance limitations of lunchbox gear. With 64dB of gain, ultralow THD of less than 0.03%, and a frequency response from 10Hz to 50kHz, the STX 100D captures every detail with exceptional clarity and precision, making it an ideal choice for recording pristine vocals and instruments. Built at Spectra's Ogden, Utah facility, the STX 100D proudly sources over 95% of its components from U.S. or European suppliers, ensuring unmatched quality and reliability.
