The TAMA Superstar Classic 5-piece shell pack with 22" bass drum brings together timeless design, premium materials and innovative engineering, delivering professional-grade performance at an accessible price. Crafted with 100% maple shells, this kit ensures a warm, punchy tone with articulate highs and a focused low end. Its thinner 6-ply tom and snare shells, and 7-ply bass drum construction, enhance resonance and response, making it perfect for dynamic, intricate playing. The inclusion of TAMA's Star-Mount system allows the toms to resonate freely for maximum sustain and projection. With retro-inspired aesthetics, modern hardware and a versatile configuration, this shell pack captures the essence of TAMA's legendary craftsmanship while catering to the needs of today's drummers.

All-Maple Shells Deliver Warmth and Precision

The Superstar Classic's 100% maple shells are designed to produce a balanced sound that combines warmth, depth and cutting attack. Their 6-ply construction for the toms and snare and 7-ply construction for the bass drum ensure optimal resonance while maintaining structural integrity. The maple's dense grain enhances the low-end response of the bass drum, delivering tight, punchy tones with plenty of thump. Additionally, the thinner shell design provides exceptional sensitivity, making this kit ideal for drummers who demand responsiveness in fast-paced or intricate playing. Every hit is met with clarity and projection, allowing the natural tonal qualities of the shells to shine through.

TAMA Star-Mount System Enhances Resonance

One of the standout features of this drum kit is TAMA's revolutionary Star-Mount system. By attaching each tom via a single bolt, the design minimizes contact with the shell, allowing it to vibrate freely and resonate fully. This results in a lively, open tone with prolonged sustain and superior projection, even in louder settings. The Star-Mount system also ensures the toms stay securely in place during performances while providing easy adjustability for precise positioning. This innovative mounting solution not only enhances the overall sound quality but also makes the kit a reliable choice for both live gigs and studio recordings.

Retro Aesthetics With Modern Functionality

Blending vintage-inspired design with contemporary features, the Superstar Classic pays homage to TAMA's iconic drum kits of the 1970s. The classic T-shaped badge, low-mass lugs and triple-flanged hoops provide a streamlined and stylish look. Meanwhile, modern enhancements like independently adjustable bass drum spurs and floor tom legs ensure precise tuning and stability. The 22" bass drum, paired with a 10" and 12" rack tom, 16" floor tom and 14" snare drum, offers a versatile range of sizes suited for various playing styles. This combination of retro charm and modern functionality makes the Superstar Classic a standout both visually and sonically.

Built for Durability and Long-Term Performance

Every component of the Superstar Classic 5-piece shell pack is engineered for longevity and reliability. The maple shells are lacquer-finished to protect against wear while maintaining their natural resonance. TAMA's triple-flanged hoops provide consistent tuning and a balanced rimshot response, while the low-mass lugs reduce shell stress without compromising tuning stability. The robust steel hardware ensures that the kit can handle the demands of frequent gigging and studio work. With thoughtful construction and durable materials, this drum kit is designed to deliver years of consistent performance and exceptional sound quality.
